The Beginning
Martin Jones has read voraciously since being a small child. He has been fascinated by big concepts and has often been described as a deep thinker. He escaped humble beginnings thanks to his burgeoning skills playing trumpet and singing, and since 1982 has enjoyed a varied career as performer, session musician, touring musician, educator, voice over artist, instrumental tutor and enjoyed every minute of it, working in small to very large venues all over the world, radio and television studios, corporate events including horse race meetings across the UK, and residencies in many continents, including in particular residencies in the Parisian Latin Quarter and London’s Mayfair to mention just a few.
Much travelled, he has a reputation of being a risk taker and a bon vivant, enjoying good food, gambling and expensive tastes which he often couldn’t really afford, not that this ever bothered him.
Later in life he had a change of direction and moved into education where he currently leads the music department at East Riding College and is the lead teaching practitioner for East Riding College, although he still performs nationally.
His life has taken another direction now though in terms of his passions and he is compelled to write and wrote 6 books in one year (2018), which comprise the book series, ‘A George Melville Mystery’. This as you may well guess features our eponymous hero, George Melville. This is all well and good, but Martin has experienced an epiphany in life thanks to writing this series, and he has encountered a major life changing discovery, which he is now compelled to share with the world, whatever the cost!
His cultural capital is his reputation which he has built successfully all his life, and this is what he risks now, as a result a life of deep thinking, and an extraordinary realisation which cannot be imparted yet, a realisation of what life’s message is has influenced him to continue Melville’s journey and has resulted in the forthcoming book, ‘End of Times’. That’s all that can be said for now, but future releases of videos and the launch of the book will explain all. This has been a serious investment in collaboration with publishers Austin Macauley, who have shared the marketing of the book. This website and all its content has been paid for by Martin, and if people contribute modestly to help him recoup some of the costs and allow him to continue spreading the word, they will get in return products and opportunities worth much more than their modest investment. His demeanour is jolly and engaging, but his resolve to make this work means he is seriously willing to sacrifice everything to get the message out there. What the message is, you will have to wait and see, but you won’t have to wait long, especially if you are willing to ‘Go Fund’ him.
